Learn to embrace your creative curiosity and paint fearlessly while focusing on the beloved subjects of animals and pets!

I'll be sharing an exciting method of using oil paints to paint "Alla Prima" (wet on wet). Concentrating on the building blocks of a dynamic painting, you will learn to paint boldly and freely using vibrant, luscious colors.

I look forward to sharing my individual techniques to capture the unique personalities and nuances of animals on canvas.
(Note, I recommend painting on Gessobord vs canvas for more brilliant color). Daily lectures, live demonstrations, and hands on assistance will be included. You will learn a fearless, creative mindset while painting, and leave this workshop with an enhanced understanding of composition, focal point, color matching to values and painting with bold, expressive brushwork. In addition, you will be taking home an expressive finished painting of your beloved animal!

Beginners and experienced artists alike are welcome! Space is limited, so be sure to reserve you spot quickly!

Workshop Overview:

Day 1:  Learn what makes a dynamic animal portrait! Focus will be on composition, focal point and VALUES! Create a strong foundation by creating a value painting. You will learn how to create a strong value study, review color values, color schemes, and the fundamentals of "Alla Prima" painting.

Day 2: Learn to paint wet on wet vibrant bold color with loose expressive and bold brushwork in order to simulate fur and techniques to capture the animal's expression for a dynamic finished painting.

Cost: $300.00 (Special discounted pricing!)
